I was implying that the Government in the event Brexit wins could demand another vote, after a suitable two or three year delay naturally, before they took any steps towards implementing the expressed will of the majority and even started taking the UK out of the EU.

See what I mean? The twit has given them a potential justification they can turn on the Brexiters, by denying that an "out" majority is conclusive, even if we win.

Yep, for sure I agree with that.

UK can't have it both ways - leaving European UNION on one hand and not allowing its own union members to leave UK.
They held a vote and if the Scottish people had decided that way they would now no longer be part of the union.

Anyway got my voting cards today, the missus is gonna vote in so my vote is cancelled out. :@

Same here, I'm afraid. Unless I can leave early on the morning of 23rd and duct tape every door and window to prevent escape

As a precaution, I've replaced all the pens in the house with these.

Ok, finally we've got enough info to conclude that voting IN is the only option

Thank you to everybody for participation in this discussion.

The mere fact that voting OUT frightens the beejeezus out of the ruling elite is almost enough reason in and of itself to vote that way.
It is ridiculous to suggest that if we leave then there will be all sorts of restrictions placed upon our trading. It is in nobody's best interests to stifle trade in either direction and it is business that will dictate how solutions can be found, not the whims of politicos with their snouts in the trough.
If we really want to take some form of control over who and what we vote for in terms of laws and social reform then we have to divest ourselves of the faceless eurocrats that frequent Brussels and Strasbourg.
All this codswallop about "changing things for the better from within the EU" is farcical when you consider that we can be outvoted at every step by the other 27 or so members.
Let's step back and redraw the relationship from outside. That is the only way to achieve some real leverage in future discussions.
