I think Farage made a big mistake in saying a narrow vote to remain should lead to another vote before long.

After all, this is a two edged sword, and in the event of a small majority to leave why shouldn't remainiacs, including politicians, claim the same right?

Because it's one way road - breaking things up into pieces will be a jigsaw to restore, not a simple vote.

Soviet Union was assembled by brutal force. Nobody wanted to join Soviet Union, where as there are countries that WANT to be part of EU.

UK breaking away from EU would end up without Scotland - leaving is suicidal for the Union.

Not until there's a majority among the Scottish electorate and until the UK Gov't agrees a second referendum. The SNP has a minority now, with only a slim majority of cross-party MSPs for Scotland leaving. There's no mandate, no support from the UK Gov't, and insufficient support among the electorate.

I wish they would bloody leave though The irony of leaving the UK and re-joining the EU (assuming the EU would want Scotland)

Minority now will turn into majority in next elections, which I reckon could be forced on the basis of Brexit.

UK can't have it both ways - leaving European UNION on one hand and not allowing its own union members to leave UK.
