Surely, if it is a matter related to a particular country, their government stands the best chance of understanding the situation. This works with other democracies (USA, Australia, Canada, NZ, etc). They don't subscribe to a central court which can overrule what their own countries highest court decides.

I mean at the end of the day, EU courts are filled with people appointed by politicians and the same for UK Supreme court (in one way or another). So, why is trusting EU better than UK justice system ? Why shouldn't the UK supreme court have the final say on matters relating to the UK ?
The degree of complacency shown for the electorate has driven trust in UK politicians to an ultimate low to the point of no hope of recovery. I'd take your point of view if indeed our politicians were honourable. The truth is people believe they service a minority of business and the wealthy elite. They'll appoint people that favours them rather than the institution it serves. That can't be the future.

Having travelled much of the world I'm astonished the EU is in receipt of so many political attacks. Sure it's not perfect. But given the alternatives it easily leading the pack.

Do young people not want to be ruled by an undemocratic plutocracy?
House crash? How about a wage rise? If I were a younger person I'd want to be sure I'd continue to enjoy access to a jobs market that spreads several countries rather than just four. Indeed, a graduate engineer today could find themselves stacking shelves in Tesco or working for BMW.. decisions decisions.

Our economy is fooked concerning income / expenditure ratio. Young people have their lives ahead of them the old don't.

UK should at least double its contribution to EU, maybe triple for next 20 years - that's the way to gain influence in the club, not make constant demands for special treatment and reduce your contribution, I am actually amazed EU did not run referendum to kick UK out in the first place.
Can I assume this is tongue in cheek - or more worryingly you actually think this is a good idea....

Oh and in terms of them running a referendum to kick us out - please do - as I have continually stated I have nothing against the EU I just do not want to be a part of it...

In fact it seems the only reason anyone wants us to stay in is because it is better for the EU and to hell with the UK.

Who says they can't deport terrorists? Are you one of these people who get the European Court of Justice mixed up with the European Court of Human Rights which has diddly squat to do with the EU?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Lets blast a myth out of the water.

If you are self supporting and you have skills a country wants you will still be able to apply for work in that country.

If you have money and want to retire to a country and never look for work no country in their right mind would block that as it will not be a drain on their economy.

Whether we stay or leave the EU will not affect that because it is detrimental to the country to stop self supporting people into their country.

Conversely it is a benefit to any country to not have take in lots of non self supporting people.

I thought it was a condition of membership of the EU to belong to the Council of Europe. Is that incorrect? If we were free of the shackles of the EU we could join Belarus, Vatican City and Kazakhstan as a proud independent European nation.

The last thing we need is rising wages. This further dilutes our global competitive advantage.

What we need is lower household expenditure. That means less money spent on mortgages deposits and rent, less money on tax, and less money on energy costs.

We need to tax the big international businesses avoiding tax. And rich folk need to pay more tax (forget income tax - how about taxes on spread betting and hedging).

Define "rich folk", what annual income?

Does European immigration drive wages up or down?
