You ever applied to work in the USA? Do you think its an easy process ?Originally posted by jbond007 View PostHaving said that, I'm not sure I agree with what you've said above. If you look at USA for example, most of these techie companies will have a fair share of immigrants (non-US citizens/non-Greencard holders) working for them. They will give out visas to highly skilled professionals they needComment

It's a complex process and that is my point. Most of the countries will complain about brain drain to the USA (losing their citizens to USA). My point being, with the complexity in visa rules, they still get the people they need.Originally posted by dx4100 View PostYou ever applied to work in the USA? Is the FT really taking a Brexit stance, or just reporting what some City figures are saying? I'd be surprised, as they were strongly in favour of the Euro.Comment

Do they though ? and they are already a "United States" and have access to millions of workers. Something you are saying you might be prepared to give up for us.Originally posted by jbond007 View PostIt's a complex process and that is my point. To be quite frank... Most USA technical teams I have dealt with and their systems are utter garbage.... I view Americans firms outside of the major players to be utter tulipe. I think we do a far better job in the UK.Comment

No, definitely not. They're very strongly for Bremain. Putting that aside, I've been disappointed by their coverage, although not surprised. It's perfectly fine for a paper to take a view (most of the papers are strongly leaning in one direction or another), but the reporting in the FT has been hysterical at times (much like the Fail on the other side), when they're normally quite balanced and factual, even in adopting a strong position.Originally posted by Chuck View PostIs the FT really taking a Brexit stanceComment

Maybe Italians? Seen it tanking so they've changed sides.Originally posted by Chuck View PostBehind a paywall.

So you think those millions died to prevent Germans from imposing banana shape standards onto UK???Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostThe reason you are here enjoying the rule of law and free democracy is because millions of people gave their lives over the last century. These same people that understood the fight for freedom and delivered that freedom also recognised that there were hapless people (who one may argue should have remained and fought for their own freedom) around the world who were not so fortunate and that maybe deserved a chance to flourish under their system and so invited them to join only to be told that we should surrender our democracy to the very system they escaped from in the first place. Because it is "Turkeys voting for Christmas" - as apposed to spineless voting for themselves.Comment
