It depends. Too many variables to answer a one line question with a number.

Things to consider:
Location
Lifestyle
Benefits
Security
Running costs

e.g. if I was offered a permie role working from home for 99% of what I'm currently on, but with a pension, healthcare, phone, 60 days holiday a year, etc, I'd probably think about it.

I was on £65k (plus O/T) in Leeds in 2010 for one year before I couldn't stand it anymore and went back contracting.

Even then I felt skint, seeing half of every hours overtime going to the tax man turned my stomach.

How much would you go permie for?
