Find a salary you can live on comfortably, and then focus on a place that's a short commute, enjoyable place to be, nice totty to look at, easy life.
Kick back and relax.

Otherwise kill yourself for a big salary, and each month hand over 1/2 of it to Gidiot.
Your choice.Comment

I would, mostly because I'd aim to stay somewhere good for 5 or more years. Contracting ain't what it used to be.Originally posted by KentDogWalker View Postso if the commute was the same time, and the work was good, would you trade £500pd for 100k?Comment

I think I'd seriously consider 100k instead of £500/day....Especially now that the divi tax has bridged the gap. However, there would have to be a lot of benefits on offer and if you add in 25 days holiday, WFH and the ability to learn new (more expensive) skills ready to go contracting in a year or two, then it is even more worthwhile.Originally posted by KentDogWalker View Postso if the commute was the same time, and the work was good, would you trade £500pd for 100k?Comment
