And have you ever watched TV in those countries? Oh my word it's bad.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -

Because living in a society involves contributing towards things that benefit that society as a whole, even if one doesn't personally benefit. This is why childless people contribute towards schools, and non-drivers contribute towards maintaining motorways.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostI CHOOSE not to watch BBC, why the **** should I pay?
If you CHOOSE to remain intellectually stunted by watching nothing but re-runs of Love Thy Neighbour on Sky channel 666, that's your problem

It's about freedom and choice, not having a "TV tax" imposed on everyone.
Simple as. There's lots of pay TV out there, BBC should be placed there.

Maybe we shouldn't pay normal tax either or NI as there are private hospitals and private transport etc out there?Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostIt's about freedom and choice, not having a "TV tax" imposed on everyone.

Typical nonsense leftie response.Originally posted by Unix View PostMaybe we shouldn't pay normal tax either or NI as there are private hospitals and private transport etc out there?
Shouldn't we all pay £1000 year and everyone gets free water? Why pay a monthly water bill, just apply a water tax on each household and free water for everyone.
Then leccy tax, then gas tax. It's fair, we all pay and everyone gets free energy.
Free Internet. Tax each household a fixed amount.
Free mobile phone service. Tax the household. Simples.
Free dentistry. We can have some teeth tax.
Free holidays. Tax each household £3k pa and holidays are free for all.Comment

I think we should all pay a Guardian tax and it gets delivered to everyone's house every day, you have to read it or you are sent to a camp to fix your thinking.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostTypical nonsense leftie response.
