<Rant on>The insurance co's are the fraudsters. My Jag is Group 22. This is because it's an expensive car to mend if in an accident (apparently). So when matey shunts my rear bumper over the xmas hols what do the Ins Co say? They want me to send it to one of their 'approved' repairers and if I go 'private' (who makes these terms up?) I will have to make up the difference in hourly rates. Told to FRO unless they can show their 'approved' repairer knows what it's doing with aluminium, and it'll go through my specialist anyway. And BTW I'll be claiming all extras back off the 3rd party, if they don't do it for me I'll go via a claims handling company. <Rant off>Comment

Biggest Issue I had with them was over the parking thing.
I was working night shift at the time.
"Where will the car be at night sir? On the drive or in a garage?"
"Outside the site office."
"What do you mean sir?"
"I work nights."
"Oh."
"Yes. That's not on your little crib sheet is it?"...

Another one that has always baffled me is why some people decide to register their car at their parents when they live hundreds of miles away in a different city.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostThat's fine until the car gets stolen using your keys and the garage has a lock/remote that hasn't been touched....Comment
