    Colin Dexter, creator of Inspector Morse, dies aged 86 - BBC News

    A bit prone to using words like "brachycephalic" for no good reason beyond showing off his skills as a cruciverbalist, but other than that I enjoyed his novels, as well as the TV series

          I liked watching Morse yet I don't know why. I once had a pint in Dexter's local the Dew Drop Inn in Summertown Oxford.

                      Saw them support the Stones at Wembley in '82.

                      Centrefold was the hit of that summer & the crowd went wild when they played it.

                      First big gig I ever went to. Memories are of topless women and lots of reefers going around.
