The papers are always full of stories that rub your nose in stuff that maybe you don't want to hear; marauding muzzies, a glass of red wine a week will kill you, how to recognise if your child is transgender, Bruce Jenner's scrotum used in miraculous facial reconstruction of horror car crash victim etc, etc....
I've never been one for Yew Year's resolutions but one that I think could be quite rewarding would be to avoid the news altogether.
So they can do exams doing Ramadan, they just have to fast and the argument is this makes it harder to concentrate?
In that case, I say 'tough'. Fasting is supposed to be a sacrificial thing. I know Christians who fast and they don't phone in sick because they're hungry.
Feel free to practice the religion of your choice wherever and whenever you want, I say. Just don't expect everyone to jump through hoops because you want special consideration.
If you don't like how things are done in this country, then tough, feel free to go an live elsewhere.
