I did and scroll up to see how that turned out...Originally posted by Chuck View PostFor goodness sake, you are a contractor. Have some pride and go to a proper shop.
It's surprisingly difficult to find a good jacket, the ones I tried in boss were pretty good but surely there's a middle ground. Most shops seem to stock 2 varieties and it's the identical coats in all the other shops but with a different label on e.g. john lewis, M&S, etc.Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes.

Don't go to fashion stores like Boss, which are staffed by skinny oiks who are only there because they look good in that brand of clothing. Go to a gentleman's outfitters where a tailor can measure and fit you properly.Originally posted by NibblyPig View PostI did and scroll up to see how that turned out...

It is going to rain about 90% of days between now and March here.
A north face or similar is pretty much the only option.Comment

Boss was the only high end clothing shop in the shopping mall.
I don't get the hate, I didn't go in blind. I tried a few coats on and they looked amazing but the price tag of 700 quid put me off cos I don't really want to spend that on a coat that I'm gonna take off when I get where I'm going and leave in a cloakroom somewhere.
All this tailor custom fit stuff sounds like bollocks, I just need a coat that doesn't look tulip, they all come in my size
