Hmm. I will try. Sometimes best to get in there and sort it out rather than try to dictate up front.

But closer to home will negate a lot of the hassles.

You would be surprised what you can get if you negotiate, believe me.

After the event you are already signed, sealed and delivered, so negotiating is weakened.
You then have to prove to the client you are trustworthy, before asking any favours.

Obviously, you have to be damn sure they want you, before playing a little hardball.

Please no. We will have to be online and ready so we can make decisions for him during the entire process.

Ah well, these things happen. At least you now get plenty of free time to sort out everything for Christmas and New Year, rather than having to fit it all in around work

Year at current client and they've decided not to renew now due to budget reasons. Hey ho. At least they've given me three weeks notice. Not cool just before xmas of course but there we go.

That's contracting I guess. Originally it was only going to be a three month gig and, at the back of my mind, I never saw myself doing it long term. Bit of a trek every day.

Oh well, would have rather the warchest a little bigger but there we go. Wish me luck.
            Could be JSA again soon?

Or does anyone want a handjob?

If I told you how long I'd been in my current contract... you'd die of shock...

I have plenty of sympathy for Marvin:

The first ten million years were the worst, and the second ten million years, they were the worst too. The third ten million years I didn't enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of a decline.

Your South Wales based aren't you? Might know of a few roles coming up before Xmas depending on your skill set. What you looking for?

Ah well, more time with the family over Christmas (I'm assuming that's a good thing ). Can't complain too much in extending from 3mo to a year - job well done, time to move on.
