    Total statistical nonsense.
Average declarable income, so for the Russians and Chinese that will be 0.

But it's doing the whole county.
That was for my postcode in Durham City.

£21k / £123k in the scummy poverty-stricken village we bought our first house - a 4-bed semi currently worth ~£60k.

      I call bobbins.

        £46,262/£447,500

        10 x

That is for the whole borough of Richmond upon Thames though

Not my place however, numbers are a lot more sensible...

I've not seen any properties on the market (or sell) in this postcode for under £500k in the last 6 years.

Current rental property is £24k:£70k, we're hopefully buying in a £30:£230,000...

38k / 378k... 10x for me. You wouldn't get much of a house round here for less than 350k, so those numbers sound about right.

As for affordability... welcome to Blighty.

Are houses really that cheap anywhere in the country?

                  Why do I live here?

I was told if you lived in one of the unaffordable places and your property was worth under £2million you were poor.....

                    Official ratio just over 10.

In reality there are lots of self-employed people and renters around here. Plus you can't get a house for less than 500k but you can get a flat.
