Always used to partake in the past (Speccy+2, Amiga, PS1, Xbox, PC, 360, PS3) but the march into the arena of middle aged-ness has brought with it a distancing from an enjoyable pastime, which I think needs rectifying with the nights closing in. Nothing needing too much commitment, an hour or so in an evening would be good.
Any suggestions? I tend to steer towards 'building' type games, or open world, or just good puzzles. Transport Tycoon Deluxe was a good one and still going (OpenTTD). I have a 'no magic' policy not adverse to upgrading the graphics card in the PC so I canplay modern games at a decent refresh rate run Office 2013 effectively when I work from home. I've looked at Minecraft but I don't quite, 'get' it..
