As in someone's email signature. I hate people that do that.
Huh? What alternative would you suggest?

(I ask only because I usually end emails with "Regards" )

          L8ers.

What does "regards" mean anyway? It's a signature, so everyone reading it knows you can't be arsed writing an actual salutation. How is that going to make your email more effective, or make the receiver see you as likeable, or approachable, or professional?

I guess you're one of those people that sends an email to request a meeting with the person you're sat next to.

I and more than a few people that I've discussed it with over a fair few years use it in situations when writing "Go f**k yourself with a broken bottle" or variations on that theme would be considered inappropriate.

There's quite a lot of people that feel the same way, sorry if that upsets your particular view of the world.

The one phrase that truly upsets me is "No we will not sign off the requirements, but we expect the project to continue".

The usual americanised jargon words don't make my heart sink they just re-enforce my view that the speaker is a complete and utter donkey. The phrase "all that good stuff" does require a lot of effort on my behalf not to go all MF on the speaker though.

That's the moment my expression switches from tense to serene as I decide not to accept the inevitable extension.
