that bmw 3 convertible looks nice but is more expensive. Would stretch budget.... eh. Its always like this , isn't it?
£4k over 2 years? You honestly think you could sell that on at £13k at 5 years old? Wow.

I've got a lovely private big island for sale, just off the Southern tip of Italy, yours for only £200k, I'll throw in the local volcano for free as a sweetener. No? How about a delightful bridge in central London, very pretty, it opens up to allow shipping through, I'm sure we can agree a price.

You're utterly deranged, especially in the light of the current press that's warming up the artillery to start the bombardment of diesel engined cars being the source of all the ills of the planet.

Go ahead and buy your car with a badge, please come back crying that everything's so unfair when your £4k depreciation has become a real world amount.
It will be comical to see your howling at how there's no justice

            I have a BMW 520D which I use to bomb down the M4 - 85 miles each way, 2-3 times a week.

I really like it for what it is, a comfortable motorway cruiser, with good economy and that's given me no hassle in the 40 000 miles I've done in it. It's no boy- racer but for tootling along the motorway quietly and comfortably at somewhere near the legal speed limit (there or thereabouts ) I've enjoyed it.

I was thinking about used bmw 5 or convertible audi a5

              Audi A5 2.0 TDI S Line 2dr
              or
              BMW 5 SERIES 520D EFFICIENTDYNAMICS 4DR 2.0

Im fearing bmw wil be "too big" for daily commute (i had saab 9-5 a while ago ,and hated it every time i had to park it)
on the other hand always dreamed about convertible , but fearing it will be impractical in the winter.

I have no kids, just gf, so most of the times 1/2 seats will be taken...

Any input? What do you guys think?
I've never seen a man driving one of those Audis, so question is do you want to look gay or boring?

yeah nothing beats that bmw 5 and its spec for that price, despite its size. I've looked at that bmw 3 convertible, and whilst comparable equipment saloon would cost about 2k less, that convertible at that price wouldnt even have computer or screen ;/ bare car.

2 more cylinders and 61 extra horses is worth more than heated cup holders IMHO

                  Check this bad boy out.
