Unlikely. The whole game has changed - Look at the increase in members of the labour party in the run up to and after he got elected. A huge amount of disillusioned an fed up voters have just come back to life to support him. Also the disinterested younger generation are now engaged and following him. he's not just winning votes from other parties he's creating more voters on a massive scale.

These are people who don't have time for the same old dull as dishwater waffle politicians but people who want change and want to stick it to austerity/bankers etc. Not just crusty activists either but pretty much everyone who's being burned by the tories.

If you think this won't happen in a general election think again. CMD and the tories have a lot to do to try and claw this back, including becoming likeable genuine people who actually care about their electorate - and that ain't gonna happen. Look at CMD rushing off for a baby-cuddling photoshoot with some refugees - still not going to cut it.

There is something very revolutionary about Corbyn and he has only just getting started. can't wait for PMQs

You're correct. The mentally and intellectually challenged will probably find him very appealing.

      Nice sig, BTW.

Very true, but given the ever dropping percentage of home owners, and rising property prices, which will lead to a crisis before long, his liberal policy on immigration may turn out to be his Achilles heel, if enough disillusioned voters twig that the two are largely related.

Nice argument you've got there - are you a DA sockie?

I would love to get a breakdown of all those who joined the labour party in last 3 months. I think quite a lot are Tories.

Agreed about young people going for Corbyn though. They have watched the existing politicians suck up to the baby boomers. They need a large dose of inflation and the end of BTL(and BTNL - buy to none let by foreign owners) to help them.

They will get that from Corbyn. But they hate the rest of his policies.

But agreed the whole game as changed. With UKIP and Corbyn on the rise.

The last few elections have centred on a couple of million voters who are aspirational middle class. They will have rivalry now.

Hopefully soon there will be some opinion polls and we can see how people would vote were there an election....

then that proper 1970s feel will be back in full force.
Are you a dodgy agent sockie?

Lets be clear on this - unions were part of the issue. But management were just as rubbish!

The professionals wanted to use BL cars. They refused. Ford offered the program makers whatever they wanted.

                Plenty of other examples.

I don't want to get all Nick Fitz on this. But lets get some balance and be fair.

Not to mention that it was really Ted Heath who wrecked the 1970s. Possibly worst PM ever? I know Labour did not reverse the damage....

Agreed - baby boomers have had a free ride washed down with free milk. Time they paid their dues.

This is happening on a smaller scale already with the increasing number of bins we have to use, and decreasing rate at which anyone comes to empty them
