As for MRSA the state of most hospitals cleanliness wise is pretty terrible. Not sure whose fault that is.
The NHS is caught up in its own Orwellian world of equality and "fairness". They cannot put up pay in one area of skills shortages without lifting the pay of everyone else. What happens is that they use locums where they end up paying far more than "market rates" for nurses, doctors etc.

Paramedics are in desperate short supply. Thy earn between £21 K and £28K pretty well irrespective of where they are based. If they paid more then more people would enter the profession. The existing workforce is driven to exhaustion to meet demand (even though they get paid overtime) and they are leaving in numbers. What is about to happen is that it will be outsourced to a private company where it will become very expensive. In the socialist Utopia of Corbyitis this is an example of why socialism can never work (without forcing people).

Why dont they simply increase the pay for paramedics independently of the rest of the NHS?
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

I wonder if the system if upside down. ie: make it simpler to employ temporary migrant labour and the ppl will come and go at ease as needed.

Presently the hoops a business and a person must go through - and the cost - to get a person in make it a great incentive to stay.

Apparently the UK is so awesome that nobody in the their right mind would go elsewhere for better pay and working conditions.

well The Polish do come & go, now that Poland is recovering they are going back and buying houses but staying here for higher wages.

However if we open the borders we will have most of the world here.

why? its not that great here. I'd love to leave, but at my age all the doors are shut.
Make it easier for people to come and go and they will do just that.

It is not such a problem that will not sort itself out whereas I see no point in increasing the population of the UK.
Has the decades of internal migration to the South East led to millions wanting to go back north again where houses are cheaper? Don't think so.

But if there are mortar bombs landing all the time in their streets back at home, and city blocks regularly disappearing in huge explosions, they'll tend to come more than they go.

There's 27 countries you can go and live in today with no questions asked.

                    Unless you vote UKIP.

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
