A nice list of towns/areas though. Could you write a guide book about your travels?
    These are all applications.

I think troll is right. 18 years experience is now worth jack tulip.
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

Why won't he work again? You can't throw that in there without explaining yourself !

You mean you sent an email. Nobody hears back.

          Anyway the process is

          (1) Email your CV
          (2) Phone Up a few hours later
          (3) If no answer, try twice, then thrice, then bin
          (4) Spot another gig
          (5) Goto 1
What happens in General, stays in General.
You know what they say about assumptions!

you missed the connect/hunt down the agent on LinkedIn from the job advert.
Skip the job site portals and email direct to agent.

                Advice received and humbly appreciated.

In the cases above I have spoken to the agents and been submitted to the client. It is converting submissions to interviews where I seem to be lacking.

You just have to be thick skinned. You'd never be able to deal with a job where you get constant rejection such as Telesales or one of Brillo's kids.

Gig in Wilstshire - not heard back anything. Over a week.
Gig in Wolverhampton - heard back. They want permies now.
Gig in London - heard back. My experience in xyz tech is too long ago.
Gig in Bedford - failed the technical test, but not told why, so no interview.

Every no is a step closer to that yes. And I've only been benched for 5 months so mustn't grumble.
5 months on the bench must be taking a hit on the funds. Its good to see that you are prepared to travel around.
Just make sure you tailor your CV for each role.

Are there no permie jobs near you ?

Also been applying for permie gigs. Not had one single interview. It's like I'm dismissed out of hand for being a contractor.

I need to reserve funds to wind the company up. As it stands, Jan 31st is my cut off date for that. Then it's JSA time.
