There was a reason why I didn't want you anywhere near anything I'm associated with (to the extent that I would kill it rather than have you anywhere near it). Would you like to guess why?

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

      2 days into new role.

I have my own comfy corner of the office with a view of the river, no Agile/Scrum bullcr@p to deal with & I'm just being left alone to get on with my work.

Just the way I like it

          Or you're cheap.

Day 6. Bristol. The hot topic among the permies is a chronic parking shortage. Arrive after 7.50 and you're in for a long walk to the office from the housing estate across the ring road. One guy just resigned and listed the parking problem as one of the reasons.

The bench seems preferable to this bulltulip.

Porridge and honey for breakfast, with a large steaming mug of Lavazza Rossa from the cafetiere

Took the mutts to the common for a big walk. It started to rain as soon as I set foot outside Benger Towers. I went back inside for my compact brolly.

Got a call from a pimp (LA International I believe). Looking for a permie. Fail. Looking for someone that specialises in cyber security. Wow. That's a swing and a miss there my friend. I am a BPM developer.

Now having a cup of rosie, with the cat on my lap (the moody one), with next door's pug asleep on the sofa next to me snoring loudly. (We are dog sitting the little tulip for the week).

Had a gurn at jobserve. Looks full of fairytales again.

                Ho hum.

'Tax' on workplace car parks begins in Nottingham - Telegraph

Britain's first council-imposed workplace parking charge scheme has begun in Nottingham, with firms likely to have to fork out a total of around £8 million in the first year.

Known officially as a Workplace Parking Levy (WPL), the scheme requires companies in the city of Nottingham to pay an annual fee of £288 for each parking space on offer to employees if more than 10 spaces are provided.

''Businesses and their workers also need to beware of the huge hike in prices already confirmed for the future. The levy will jump 15% next year and be 32% higher within three years.''
... a policy introduced by the Labour Government

An update after finding out I would have to wait for for my clearance to be renewed before starting - turns out they have another project (that doesn't need clearance) they need help with...

Separate contracts before anyone screams IR35. Starting in a couple of weeks. Game on...
