Hoping to get the paperwork through before tomorrow - I'm supposed to be having an interview with another client then but it's a 2+ hour drive so rather not if I don't have to.
To finish, I've just had a pimp call about another localish (40 mins drive) gig - and it's been so quiet for months..Comment

Oh Dear (tm)
Might be a bit soon for a party, received a copy of the client's "starter park" with the following wording...
Absence and holidays: ALL contractors must advise <agency> at least one week in advance of any time off which has been approved by their Line Manager. This is so we can inform the procurement team who will then ensure that the absence has been correctly logged. It will also help us to know when you are off so that we know whether to expect time reports and/or whether clocking reports received from the client are correct.
Oh dear.... Looks like I'm still going to the other interview just in case.Do what thou wiltComment

Also talks about a clocking on/off system for recording hours rather than signed timesheets and invoices...

I guess they wanted a temp. Explain the difference and ask them to amend the contract and forget about the starter pack, or if they won't then hit them with a 25% increase on dayrate and declare yourself IR35 in.Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

It's also far from impossible that they've just recycled their standard onboarding process and their HR department have no awareness that you're a contractor.
Some polite conversations should resolve your concerns.Comment

I hereby give my 2 weeks notice of resignation as sanitation engineer. Back to being a software engineer and sorting out other people's tulip. So the same job really.Comment
