We're past forty years now, but even after all that time I never knew that the boss didn't really like rubies. Luckily I found out in time to ask the jeweller (the excellent Nicholas Wylde in Bath) to change the planned four rubies for three diamonds and a ruby in the pendant necklace I was having made for our 40th...Blog? What blog...?

Will probably do similar - might book a room in the Shard and spend a couple of days in that there London. Would be nice to get him a gift though - neither of us wear wedding rings, so feel like we should have something to indicate we're hitched!

We're in a similar position. We're going to spend a couple of weeks in the UK; meeting up with a couple of friends who we're married on the same day as us and going for a meal together, visiting the church we were married in, visiting some friends we haven't seen for a while.Originally posted by Halo Jones View PostWell congrats to you both, gifts get harder as the years pass; BGG & I are marking 25 years next month & neither of us actually want anything so we have just gone for a nice meal, movie & hotel day together.Down with racism.
