Are you suggesting they should win seats where they were not even fielding a candidate, based on share of national vote? If they run out of candidates based on share of national vote should they just find someone on the street and give them a job as the MP to fill up the seats?
The SNP got a high share of the vote where they were standing, a small share nationally. You suggest that someone getting, e.g. 50% of the vote in their constituency should be denied a seat, while someone getting a single figure share in their constituency should get a seat based on their party doing well elsewhere.
How democratic.
