Biggest winner is SNP, they demolished everyone in Scotland and with a Tory Majority its even better. Independence will come much quicker which is the SNP's main purpose. Referendum in 2018 I reckon.Comment

No it's not. They may have received 12% of the National vote, but we don't vote nationally. We vote locally. In contrast, what you are saying is that you would be happy if someone got 100% of the vote in their constituency, their party only got 2% of the vote nationally and so they were not elected. The only way to win a single seat would be to have a national party gaining a decent % of the overall vote, as no 1 candidate could be elected without this.Comment

With 30% of the vote IIRC.
