I guess the markets are happy with the election results, and that means so am I

I was short the FTSE until yesterday afternoon. Seems I closed just in time!

Excellent Result for the Tories, but not sure how effectively they'll govern. John Major had a small majority and he ended up being constantly held to ransom by his backbenchers. As for Labour , hopefully they'll get the message that's it's not a route to sucess to allow the unions choose your leader.

My local seat in north wales, been a safe labour seat for years, it's gone Tory after a concerted campaign over Labour wrecking the NHS in Wales

England performs marginally better across a number of key indicators,

times. But Scotland has shown a marked upturn in performance on indicators
associated with targets and performance management, such as hospital waiting

ambulance response times. Northern Ireland has improved performance on
most indicators, but its MRSA rates remain higher than those in both England
and Wales. Wales has improved performance on a number of indicators,
but its waiting times have lengthened since 2010, with striking rises in waits

I very much doubt there are many skeletons that haven't already been in the news. Their house sales are a sight to behold but common knowledge for years...

I can't shake the feeling that a lot of people got into the voting booth and their pencil hovered over Labour, but they just couldn't bring themselves to vote for Miliband. It would explain why the polls were so wrong. I can't see why people would be lying in the run up to the election.
