Yep. Lib Dems will shift left with Tim Farron as leader. I would expect a move today or over the weekend.

Also looks like Ed Balls is gone. Couldn't happen to a nicer pensions wrecker....

Did Russell Brand cost Labour the election ?

The number of votes separating tories and labour was very small.

Apart from UKIP it was basically the tories vs everyone else and so the tories had to win or lose, but Milliband could do deals with the SNP, the Welsh et al to stop Cameron, so the effective margin was tiny, but magnified by first past the post.

Brandie wandie urged many people who would have voted Labour not to vote at all, so they didn't register. Then he cuddled up to Milliband, but after they could register.

The same could be said of the Greens to a certain extent, shove their votes on top of Labour in a few seats and it could have looked very different.

So Tories closing in on an overall majority.
Meanwhile up in Scotland a crowd of inexperienced and clueless lemmings are lining up behind Nicola wondering what they are supposed to do now that their bluff has been called.

Looks like commonsense has been played out, except in Scotland, where the Krankies have made a comeback. Fandabbydosi!

Yet to see the result for Ed, but interesting there is a candidate for 'Yorkshire First'.

Make me think we should be starting local regional parties. The Cornish National Party. Shaunbouy could be head of the Scottish & Devon Four Fingered Pasty Party.

I already am, although I should point out it is the "six-fingered" Party.

Interesting that while the SNP has received 8% of the UK vote and got 56 seats, UKIP has received 12% but so far only has 1 seat.
