Yep and he did it, how does he envisage forming a government with the polls so tight and SNP being by far the 3rd biggest party.Originally posted by d000hg View PostCameron was asking him to do that last PMQ, I think.Comment

He's presumably worried Labour swing voters are worried by the prospect and is more focused on getting the most votes he can, and worry about that later.
He doesn't need a coalition, a loose alliance (I forget the proper term) could suffice.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Once they get the votes, then we the electorate have no say in the kind of government we get. Our only hope is an elderly German lady, and she never does anything.Originally posted by d000hg View PostHe's presumably worried Labour swing voters are worried by the prospect and is more focused on getting the most votes he can, and worry about that later. Will work inside IR35. Instead of them whispering vote Blair get Brown, it's vote Milliband get the KrankiesSocialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.
No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.Comment

He'll be planning on an informal "Supply And Confidence" arrangement. That is the SNP do not get any Ministerial jobs but agree to back the government on key votes. In return for what though?
But Labour is in a bind. Shame.Comment

"Interesting" as in we have several likely outcomes, only one of which will maintain the slow progress we're making and offers some hope that we will one day be back in the black. And anyone who seriously thinks Millipede and his union masters represent any kind of viable government no matter what combination of also-rans and delusionals they team up with seriously needs their head examined.Originally posted by Unix View PostThe election is going to be interesting as is the government that follows.
Not that I'm biased or anything...

If the SNP don't get any ministers they will ask for big concessions form Labour, SNP are not going to give way as easily as the Lib Dems did.
