Interesting, polling seems to suggest quite a few SNP members are partial to a Tory government with many SNP MPs over a Labour one, with few. I wonder if this is suggestive of how the next government may shape up; albeit, if poll numbers keep going in the Tories' favour, and they manage to muster a coalition again with the Lib Dems and/or some sort of arrangement with UKIP, it may be irrelevant. Quite a few senior Labour figures are against an SNP-Labour alliance, and things do not appear to be headed in that trajectory at present. Equally, it may make it all the easier for the SNP to convince the Scots of the need to exit the UK... A win-win, for them.

Yep, win/win. Labour will concede more powers to us to get into No. 10 and Tories winning will see another indyref in the SNP manifesto for next year's Scottish elections.

We've already seen the evidence on Question Time and in the English press the view that Scotland shouldn't have any input to the UK even if all 59 MPs returned are SNP. If that's meant to make us feel part of the union then it's clearly not working.

You won't get another ref - the main driving force has left now to line his pockets elsewhere. And even if you did, the economic questions have not been answered. If anything, there will be more "No" votes as the financial outlook for an independent Scotland looks far worse than it did three month ago.

Apart from Mr Salmond, there is still a driving force in Scotland at grass roots level. Why do you think the SNP have surged in the polls? Why has their membership gone through the roof since the indyref? The fact is, voters in Scotland have woken up and been energised. If they see dirty deals getting done in Westminster to stop their voice being heard then there will be a surge in support for another referendum.

Even if the tax take is only £600m, that would be better spread around 5 million people than 70 million.

I think you will find the attitude is that MP's in devolved areas shouldn't vote on things that don't affect them, seems reasonable to me. Something your MPs have singularly failed to address despite the West Lothian question being asked in 1977, you would have thought after years of being ruled by foreign politicians they would want to fix it quick.

You are the ones who decided to stay in the union, we weren't asked. If we had been you would probably be feeling the door hit you in the arse on the way out. Many people are fed up subsidising you and then listening to you moaning.
