To be fair on both sides the people who wanted the union to continue where quieter than those who wanted separation.
There was a real intimidation of business by the SNP and nationalists over the whole debate, promises of a "day of reckoning" after independence to any business that stood out against the SNP's proposals.
The SNP were phoning companies up asking directors for their views, sane minded people were just keeping their heads down and voting no privately.
Of course technically no Embassy is on foreign soil, but you get the point.
No because that is not the definition of a country. Scotland is a country it is just a member of a larger union, are you saying Germany isn't a country because it's part of Europe?
