Next year we will see probably a grand knocked off Scotland's tax income per person in these figures due to the oil price drop.

Not going to be good reading.

To be fair on both sides the people who wanted the union to continue where quieter than those who wanted separation.

It's been pretty sustainable thus far in human history.

And single malt whisky tends not to be over-indulged in because most people can't afford to!

I am more than happy that we remain in a little fantasy where all remain a nation with Wales in this group of 'countries' called Great Britain.
As I understand it, England and Scotland are both countries, Wales is a principality, and Northern Ireland is a province of Ireland.

If the EU want to call us all provinces and regions it is for their administrative reasons.

There was a real intimidation of business by the SNP and nationalists over the whole debate, promises of a "day of reckoning" after independence to any business that stood out against the SNP's proposals.

The SNP were phoning companies up asking directors for their views, sane minded people were just keeping their heads down and voting no privately.

Internally we may contrive to imagine we are all countries but we are not.

There are no English embassies as there are Welsh embassies on foreign soil.

Of course technically no Embassy is on foreign soil, but you get the point.

No because that is not the definition of a country. Scotland is a country it is just a member of a larger union, are you saying Germany isn't a country because it's part of Europe?

You don't have a UK firearm certificate to have a firearm in the US embassy, only an American one.
