He punched somebody he works with. Of course he should be suspended over it, at the very least. In any normal workplace, he'd be sacked on the spot for that, and the police would probably be involved. The BBC are going bloody easy on him.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

I'm sure May and Hammond are equal to the task - in fact it would probably make the show better. And why not show previously recorded segments with Clarkson in. The BBC's current reaction is more playing to the Top Gear haters than anything else. I doubt Clarkson is massively worried about it - the only people who will be bothered are the rest of the production team and the fans.
Apparently Clarkson's company used to own the rights to the show 50/50 with the BBC (not sure where the other two fit into that). He sold them to the beeb in 2012 which sounds like a very smart piece of business to me. [Source: some bird on radio 4 this morning]Comment

BBC painted themselves into a corner with the "final" warning last time so they had no choice but to do it, even if it means losing one of their most profitable shows.Originally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

Trouble is even a rubbish Top Gear episode is better than 90% of the BBC's output.
Dr Who on the other hand.......Comment

with the exception of pretty much nothing Top Gear and Clarkson are about the only presenters/show which actually supplies something that the average Male will sit down and watch.
This is born out by the viewing figures and world wide popularity.
This upsets the mung bean quiche eating eco-lesbians as they would prefer us watching a program on obese lesbians performing natural birthing in a yurt - because it would break down the barriers against obesity.
Fact is Clarkson actually represents about 60% of the people who pay the licence fee - and he gets about 15 hours of air time a year....Comment

Either way the Beeb are screwed if they dump the program."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
