No one says they are going to act against everyone, just look in to the cultural issues as to why these common factors are an issue.

Human beings need a sense of belonging. They therefore at various levels join groups with who they like to identify and be identified by. groups are split into Nation states, religions, chelsea supporters etc etc. by identifying with a group you take the good with the bad . if you do not like the bad you do something about it or you do not. the fact that these people are muslim means that they are part of such a group and that their group no matter how attached to it they are should be taking responsibility for their members behaviour. So identifying the group makes sense.
Unfortunately we have in our world patronising self loathing hypocrites like you who only see wrong in your own group and condescendingly refuse to see wrong in others. Apart from this attitude showing contempt towards other groups by acknowledging that they are not civilised enough to take the same responsibility for their members behaviour as those in your groups, it also prevents authorities from finding and punishing the perpetrators.

But doesn't a study need to make a statement before it is either proved or disproved? They don't care in studies if the title is correct or not as long as a conclusion is made at the end of the study.

There is no way of getting this right. Someone moron is going to be offended what tey say or do. Sometimes you just have to swallow it and hope the outcome justifies the problems. If we can get an answer to this that will keep people safe from whoever then it can't be a bad thing can it. Some people just want if fixing rather than getting hung up on titles.
