    Should TNS_ADMIN be a PATH variable in the environment setting in Computer Management or something like that? Same with all the ORACLE_HOME shiite?

    One think I do know - the secret is setting the oracle users environment correctly..

        One thing I know is that well written installation routines don't require any post install "tinkering".
