Rant Alert: Contractor Prima Donna’s

Last Friday I was assigned to this contractor, who can’t build his own app. He demands that we do it his way & not the tried & proven way we normally do, but we decide to see if his way is any better & agree to try it.

On Monday my line manager insists that I do some work for him, I ask the contractor (who is lucky he does not have to be nice to my manager) So in the afternoon we go over the plan his way is overly complicated & required unnecessary off-line work but we give it a go

Tuesday I get a migraine likely caused by this OTT app, but I persevere & realise that this way the work will take longer.

Wednesday the migraine has worsened & the thought of working with Princess Contractor is making it horrendous, I phone in sick but tell my line-manager that I can work from home on his urgent stuff to help out.
