Until the media and the trolls on here start to distinguish between "Islam" and "Salafism" then there is no hope of solving this problem.

Saudi are twins with ISIS yet they are our best friends. So don't go telling me Muslims should protest about extremists whilst we are silent about our friendship with ISIS Saudi.

Ask any bloke and they'll say the "home of Islam" is Saudi. Yet ask any Muslim and they'll hate Wahabi/Salafism more than you will. Most Muslims hate the Saudi family. Yet the media portrays them as if they are the leaders of Islam. And yet the politicians have to gag over them. I know not why. Perhaps its that the Saudi pay over the odds for military hardware and throw lavish alcohol fueled parties?

I must correct you however. Saudi is not funding ISIS as a country. ISIS have made clear threats to invade Saudi. But, various Saudi sheikhs (and other Gulf arab sheikhs) have made massive donations to ISIS. Then there is the strange case of the Iraqi military leaving its bases with all its equipment intact. WTF was that about.

Sadly, its all in the name of wiping out Shia/Christian et al.

But Salafism has the upper hand as it has all the money, and it is Salafist money that is pushing the proselytising and the public mouthpieces of "Islam"(tm) here in the West.

That's one of the reasons you won't hear about Muslims not being happy about it, the money's not behind them.

For crying out loud, we even let Tariq Ramadan be a professor at Oxford - he presents an urbane, civilised face of Islamism to the Beeb and other media outlets (I watched him charm the socks off Paxman once - but probably because he was the only other person in the room who wasn't a complete dolt). But he is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and his writings in Arabic and French are considered so bad that even Canada (!) has banned him.
