Not sure where you got the idea that the killer was an Atheist, or that they were killed for their religion, the link mentions no reason yet for their killing.

The man arrested on suspicion of killing three young Muslims in North Carolina described himself as an “anti-theist” and criticised all religions online.

Shouldn't we have a global outcry from all atheists denouncing this barbarism, proclaiming the murderer isn't a proper atheist, with Dawkins stating "Not in my name".
