Wow, I thought there would be a few educated individuals who'd be able to give an informed reply, not an opinion. My mistake.
I'm off to the boardroom for a wank.Comment

Hope this helps.Originally posted by Platty32 View PostQuick question to people in the know.....
There's a policy here where contractors are not permitted to park in the staff carpark.
Pretty common. You're not staff.
I've worked here now for 5 years, so would consider myself a long term contractor.
We'd consider you a permie in disguise. Or a sockie.
I remember some time ago there was a change which gave long term contractors the same rights as members of staff?
Do you?
Would this change apply to the 'no parking rule' enforced here?
No.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I was called out a few years ago while working at a building society, around 1am. I parked (a Porsche) in the chief execs parking spot and started work trying to fix a mega fault which meant that, if not fixed, the next day they would not be able to do any mortgage approvals. Anyway, around 9am a security guard found me and said "move your car", I replied "go and ask the CEO if he wants his parking space or his system fixing", 5 mins later he came back and said
"Move your car"
