I did not see the programme, but I am guessing it includes a component of ' lets bring back free speech'

i.e. it is no longer non PC to mention the ethnicity of someone in the news, nor religion.

if so, about time to. Political Correctness has been a cancer on our culture.

Ahh but you could have an extremist taxi driver who takes you with him/her as they drive the taxi into somewhere full of people. And as Islam is a religion they could be blond(e)* and blue eyed.

They had some leftie bint on the phone in on radio london last week saying that the Muslim faith is very sensitive to having "the p*ss taken out of it" and that by satirising Islam we are basically "asking for it".

The reason that Muslim countries are all totalitarian impoverished regimes is because this state of affairs is ingrained in their culture. No one dares question the integrity of Islam as projected by the rulers of these countries (most of who are hypocrites who are all gambling, committing acts of sexual deviance and boozing) Many Muslims look to leave their countries to enjoy the freedoms we have in the west which thanks to people like Dave Allen are largely down to the satirising of religion. When they get here all they want to do is return their new found society back to the cultural and religiously intolerant system from which they left.

if Islam wants to move on and become part of a civilised society then it needs to allow itself to not be taken seriously.

Simple cause and effect. If the Muslims caused this, then asking them to fix it is correct.

However I don't honestly think the Muslims caused this.

She showed all the symptoms of your typical self loathing leftie. Looking to "sympathise" and be "at one" with the Muslim communities she patronises them. By saying that whilst we in the decadent west satirise our religions "you" on the other hand should be allowed to safeguard the sanctity of Islam because unlike we western christians "you" Muslims are not good enough to free yourselves from your religion.

If the likes of dave Allen were key in unravelling the evils of Catholicism then the Muslims should be afforded equal freedom.

Terrorists are generally not religious at all. However by dressing themselves up as representatives of the faith they know that no one will question the Islam they seek to represent. If a Catholic terror group emerged saying it was acting on behalf of Christian god no one would believe for a minute that it represented any serious part of the church. This is because anyone who sticks their head above the parapet in the name of christian religion is instantly exposed to ridicule.
