I think they think they are, even if the religion they claim to act on behalf of wishes no affiliation with them.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostTerrorists are generally not religious at all.
In the Christian world, take the Westboro Baptists. They preach hate and I see nothing of Jesus in them (which is rather the point of Christianity
) but it's too easy a way out to just say "they don't believe what they teach".

Depends what you mean by "terrorists". The saps that blow themselves up on trains so they can get 17 virgins in heaven probably are religious in the full on, completely deluded out of touch with reality sense. Whereas the ones calling the shots are just politicians using religion as a way of controlling the weak and stupid, just like many western and other leaders have done throughout history.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostTerrorists are generally not religious at all. Will work inside IR35. The chance of one could persuade me to do some terrible things, I may even consider a night out in Sunderland.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI think you will find it is 70 virgins
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]Comment
