It's being reported that one of the murdered policemen - possibly the one you may have seen video or stills of, being shot in the head as he lay wounded - was himself a Muslim, named Ahmed Merabet.
Something for those who seek to blame all followers of Islam for the actions of a few extremist criminals to ponder.
If they're capable of pondering, that is, which their unreasoning bigotry suggests is not the case.Comment

Should the police have not provided protection? In a country that also sees to defend freedom of speech (or at least, be seen to do so!)

What's difficult to determine is how many Muslims support the killing of these journalists on the grounds of blasphemy. Are these people more representative of Muslims. I'd certainly like to think so, but how can we be sure? Though apparently most Muslim countries have condemned the attacks.
One twit tweeted that he'd only condemn the attacks if France condemned the murder of Muslims worldwide - apparently unaware that more Muslims are murdered by other Muslims than by non-Muslims.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

There is no such thing as a 9mm Glock Bullet. The Glock can be chambered for the 9mm Parabellum / 9x19 cartridge.[/Pedant]I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it.
