The effects of a low oil price will be long-term. Now think about who'd benefit from that. The glut is irrelevant yet seems to be the focus for a strategy.
Now this is drip feeding. <swoon>

People are stupid. The person is smart.

People / crowds / the market are like sheep. Don't be one of them. I recall when studying stochastic models the behaviours of crowds in queuing systems. Without logic and at times dangerous but also inherently natural to species. It's a wonder we survive.

Well apparently I'm a horrible human. As such I need entertainment.

Not doing Russia much good, they've budgeted oil at $100 a barrel, now it's dipped even lower than imagined the rouble is taking another hammering, approaching 100 rbls a pound again. It was always about 52 rbls to the pound up till late last year.

My partners parents told me there's nothing in the shops in their city, Kazakhs hopping over the border buying everything at effectively half price....

Most retail FX brokers have suspended trading the RBL, due to almost no liquidity.

To my oh so simple mind, there's going to be those that benefit from the low cost ie transport shipping logistics.

But surely now is the time to be slurrping up the cheap Oil Co's that will be back to Uber profits when the saudis and yanks stop dicking about.

What are the panels recommendations for share purchases for who's going to benefit?
any company who moves anything from A-->B or who use large amounts of energy benefit.

Anyone care to speculate on how low Brent will go?

                      $40

                      $30

There's huge oversupply. There's a slow down in global economy.

Also there is the shift to electric / hybrid cars which is starting to gain momentum. In 10 years time won't all cars be, if not fully electric, a hybrid?

My wild and uninformed guess is $25 .... based on nothing but the fact that all "professional estimators" get it totally wrong all the time and the only numbers I have heard coming from them have been around the $50 - $60 mark.
