One of the few treats in life I give myself is a high quality turkish shave with a straight edge, just getting harder and harder to find places that still do them

had one of these whilst on holiday in turkey,Originally posted by SimonMac View PostOne of the few treats in life I give myself is a high quality turkish shave with a straight edge, just getting harder and harder to find places that still do them
the guy was a mute and spent ten minutes rubbing his hand over my face and about 30 seconds actually shaving me,
i thought i was in a scene from Midnight Express for a minute but have to say it was the best shave i've ever had, close as anything and not cuts or rash.Comment

Thats the key now more than blades, prepping the face for the shave, as a minimum a very hot towel to open the pours and soften the hairsOriginally posted by filthy1980 View Posthad one of these whilst on holiday in turkey,

very trueOriginally posted by SimonMac View PostThats the key now more than blades, prepping the face for the shave, as a minimum a very hot towel to open the pours and soften the hairs
that and shaving according to the grain, which i think is what the guy was examingingComment

How can you get as close a shave if you only shave with the grain? That's the reason I prefer wet shaving when I can be bothered, it's so much softer. But only if I shave with the grain first, then shave the opposite way - that's the bit which makes the difference.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
