Those specifications are similar to working age expats returning to the UK and trying to claim the dole.

You need to be able to prove that you are resident in the UK and aren't just back to claim because you are down on your luck.

      Just to clarify

Are we now indignant about immigrants or emigrants, or are both bad ?

indeed, however it does prove the scenario I suggested that an expat can return and undergo expensive treatment on the NHS having avoided paying anything significant towards it.

we aren't indignant we are hoping people will finally see sense and control immigration and reduce the demands on the NHS from non contributors who could and should contribute.

Aint that the truth. Swap 'NHS' for 'I.T.'.
Very few companies are training up youngsters in I.T. Best part of 1 million unemployed 18-24 year olds - but do the 'open-door' neo-cons care? No, of course not.

I am a UKIP voter so am too stupid to know the difference.

I presume indignant means angry? I am angry about everything. If it weren't for the foreigners I would have to find someone else to blame.....

It's interesting what IT skills are currently on the government's skills shortage list. It's only ICT workers in the games industry. That's because the games industry in the UK treats people like tulip so they either leave or go abroad for better pay.

Its reasonable to say that some EU countries will have lower tax than the UK.

It is reasonable to assume that ex pats will come back to use the NHS in fact new rules were put in to prevent it.

Well I've never been back to the UK for any treatment in the last 25 years nor do any of the Brits that I know have. In fact why should I: Euro health consumer index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I also know that I pay a hell of a lot of tax, quite possibly more than you...

These tax rates apply to single people with no children, on an average salary for their country.
                  • Belgium - 42.80%
                  • Germany - 39.90%
                  • Denmark - 38.90%
                  • Hungary - 35%
                  • Austria - 34%
                  • Greece - 25.4%
                  • OECD Average - 25.10%
                  • UK - 24.90%
                  But as you're not single:

The following tax rates apply to married couples with two children.
                  • Denmark - 34.8%
                  • Austria - 31.9%
                  • Belgium - 31.8%
                  • Finland - 29.4%
                  • Netherlands - 28.7%
                  • Greece 26.7%
                  • UK - 24.9%
                  • Germany - 21.3%
In fact you can work out your taxes here for different countries: Germany - Income tax on employees -Your Europe

So you're in favour of immigrants who work in the NHS, as they increase the supply of services and contribute.

If we didn't have immigration the "baby boom bulge" would now be entering retirement and not being replaced. i.e. the demands on the NHS would have been much greater and you would probably get a worse service.

Immigrants are almost all young and make virtually no demand on the NHS. The reason you may have had to wait a bit longer for an appointment is because a greater proportion of the population are over 80.

I never said that, read my post

We would have dealt with that as it came up, quite possibly by reorganising and becoming more efficient. You know many people are working longer into their 70s?
