      that is the kind of attitude that makes them feel marginalised, you should invite them round for a cup of tea.

      Unfortunately many respectable people will have to put up with scum looting and burning, the police are then attacked if they take any action. There is a court case going on and the officer probably feels terrible.

        I think some communities in America think freedom means do what you want and fook the police. And then try and make it a racist issue l.

        Will be interesting when they all start turning to Islam :-S

              I don't see how the police officer could have done anything else. This guy was charging him, the officer had a gun, and the officer knew that if he didn't shoot there was a very good chance that the guy could have seized his gun and shot him. So it was reasonable self defence.

                Your second sentence needs "The officer says that…" at the start. His account is greatly different to that given by other witnesses.

                    But he didn't did he? TBH it's hard with all the 'eyewitness' accounts etc but it seems;

                    1. Black Guy nicked some Cigars

                    2. White Copper spotted him in a patrol car and tried to stop him

                    3. Black Guy ran at car and tried to get gun/assaulted officer - pics on net off officer injuries.

                    4. Guy ran off.

                    5. Officer chased him

                    6. Guy gave up and either surrendered or approached officer in a threatening way according to eye witnesses or well, just police really it seems...

                    7. Officer shot him in arm/shoulder

                    8. Guy fell, or tried to head butt officer

                    9. Officer shot him in eyeball and that on top of head (most likely fatal shot)

                    Above could be wrong, but seems mostly likely, need to look at 8. - TBH seems he fell, in which case 9. in a bit out of order, or he tried to head but him or attack with head, is 9,. ok?

                    I dunno.

                    Either way there was no need for the kid to die over a bit of dope, a $5 pack of cigars and some measure of belligerence, is it so black and white if you'll pardon the pun, could the Officer not have shot him in the legs or kneecaps, are they not trained to assess at situation, is it just shoot the perp and that's it? Another life lost?

                      I don't see how they can still run with the hypothesis that Michael Brown had his arms up in surrender, not after the forensic evidence... besides, the jury examined a mountain of evidence and was well aware of what the consequences of finding the cop not guilty could be. I doubt they came to it lightly, and quite honestly, Brown does sound like a rather miserable example of a human being. Whether or not the cop's account is completely accurate, he was not found to be guilty. Why should there be any riots over this? They're just unwarranted, barbaric destruction of innocent people's property, for the most part.
