It is scaremongering, prices could go down. Why not say if a Yes vote prices could change/ up or down? Hmmm

The argument that the prices will go up is based on the fact that Scotland will have to have it's own currency, and will be outside the Euro. Swiss and Norwegian supermarkets are certainly more expensive than UK or the Euro zone, so it isn't an unreasonable assumption.

You're fighting a losing battle with this audience unix.

Better to wait until the general election campaign when the people that are quoting Cameron and Milliband's words as gospel right now are greetin' into their caramel macchiato when they find out they have been lied to again.

The difficulty is that the status quo has little uncertainty. The outcome of independence is full of uncertainty. Ultimately people will vote according to their pockets and right now the UK economy is doing pretty well. It is not an "even" debate in terms of the so called "scaremongering" that is going on. The reality is that the two sides have different arguments - one of which is filled with what "might be" and the other about staying the same.

The reason there is no history of similar break ups in prosperous economies is because revolutions only happen in times of hardship. unfortunately the arrogant idiots behind the yes campaign have picked the wrong moment to fight for independence thinking that the power of their personalities and their rhetoric will win over the scots.

The truth is that there are just not quite enough chippy Scots with inferiority complexes who are prepared to cut off their noses to spite their faces. This is why the No vote will prevail.

Same with Ireland - although they have come down in recent years relative to the UK.

The biggest problem Scotland has is that runs a big deficit even on the assumption the North Sea oil is Scottish, which no-one really disputes and Salmond just waxes lyrical about the advantage of being independent is so that they can spend even more money.

You're going to raise my use of the words 'currency union' every time I say something now ? is that your argument ?

Difference is, I'm not broadcasting my bulltulip to millions of people.

So, what's going to happen in the next GE OG ?
