So if 4.3 million people are registered, and there is an 80% turnout (as the bookies predict), and 1.5 million have signed a Yes declaration, and these are all individual registered voters, then it really is in the bag. We just need to wait for that press release.

I know someone who has signed it 8 times.

It doesn't mean they were counted 8 times.

Mark Carney has said it would be bonkers, the two main parties will write a no-CU into their manifestos. The OCED, Deutche Bank, BoA and a zillion others have said it would be mental - yet it's still a scare story.

..talking of bonkers - I'm off to see Georgous George tonight
Carney said is was possible but laid out the terms needed. But these would be up for negotiation. Ask yourself why the political parties would dismiss is outright without any discussion? It's a stunt, they think this will kill the Yes vote, if the Yes vote wins everything is up for negotiations.

But that's just 43.6% yes. So 'no' is in the bag?

So are you saying there is a chance that there will be a currency union, or there will be a currency union?

The assumption must be that signing the Yes declaration is a subset of the Yes vote. And if 5/6 of the total required has signed a declaration, it really is in the bag IMO.

                  And another thing.

Cameron was talking about this decision 'being forever'. Supermarket prices are the subject of a general election perhaps but not a referendum. A iScotland could reduce VAT on food, making it cheaper. Or reduce corporation tax on supermarkets. Options that do not currently exist.

Food is VAT exempt in the UK (with some exceptions).

OG, you, like the rest of us don't actually know for a fact that there will be or there won't be. I believe there will be, you don't.

You also have no idea what your UK party leaders may or may not agree to post yes vote (if there is one).

Don't trot out any 'political suicide' messages either, because going to war with Iraq was political suicide, so was ICT visas and offshoring, so was Clegg forming a coalition with Cameron and numerous other things.
