I'm working at home on Friday. Got a couple of mates coming round to watch the election count + analysis, with separate projectors for the markets. Am getting a very cheap bottle of cava to open if YES wins.

I'm not too bothered about the outcome iteslf, but the recriminations will be worth watching, whatever the result.

We will probably have minimum pricing by 9 am.

Umm. Seeing as Scotland is actually a part of England, doesn't that also make it Scotland's fault?

No, because we don't get a say in anything.

May I ask, who thinks that the Scots / Scotland will become even more hostile to the English if the vote goes "no" ?

I'd rather have Scotland as an ex in an amicable divorce than stay in a relationship with an angry and bitter partner.

It seems unlikely to me that Salmond will accept defeat graciously.

No need to accept defeat. Alex Salmond 'confident' that Scotland will vote for independence next week - Scottish independence - UK - The Independent
