      Gold reserves:

      Italy 2,451.8 tons

      United Kingdom 310 tons

Independent Scotland could claim part of £7.8bn gold reserves
Of course iScotland would get a share of the gold reserves. Assets and debts are split according to an agreed formula. It's hardly a revelation.

It reads like it. The Scotsman is a known unionist paper.

Even RBS's announcement made clear today jobs were not a risk. The operation is not moving, only the trading address is. Yet the entire media have jumped on the 'jobs will be lost' bandwagon.

        The scaremongering really is stupid.

IMO the no camp would succeed with much greater influence if they focus on the impact the outcome the referendum would have on the rUK and that was made clear day in day out.

I don't think many in Scotland know or care (a small number).

If Scotland votes yes it will get worse for them. Much worse.
Fancy going into Pilton or Easterhouse and asking them 'what austerity'? Try telling them that they would be worse off if they lived in Greece.

People have had benefits cut because they have a spare bedroom in which they need to keep equipment for a disabled child.

No. I fancy getting them to live in Greece for a while.

Though being Scottish they will probably still be whining.

Don't worry about Brillo. His post shows that he is unsurprisingly ignorant of the meaning of austerity.

I notice there weren't any firms or people named. Could it just be made up since it's the unionist Scotsman?

Might be made up. Might be real. But it's just noise.

At least all of Scotlands political prisoners will be freed and the pass laws dropped. Men with kilts will now be allowed in the ladies toilets
