There's a legal term, ipse dixit, meaning "they said it themselves" - i.e. gender and plurally neutral - so perhaps demotic latin should takes precedence over the grammatically precise translation.

I could care less, the fact remains, it's a name not an acronym.

Ipse Dixit actually means He himself said it, as per my other post.

"They themselves said it" would be the Nominative Plural - Ipsa Dixerunt.
