Questions that can be asked in an Interview

    Friends,

Towards the end of a recent interview I was asked "do I have any questions?" and it caught me off guard, I mean the usual questions I would ask as permie about holidays, pension contributions etc. are not relevent.

So to avoid the silence and a boring "I did have, but you have answered them all" I was wondering what could I ask? The only thing I have come up with would be to mention things that I have read about the company.

    Is there anything else?

    Cheers

"Do I have to join in on dress down days?"

"Will I expect a leaving present on my last day?"

"Am I expected to contribute to permies' leaving presents?"

      "Where's the nearest pub?"

I always ask whether it's normal to visit the pub on a Friday. It usually raises a bit of a laugh and ends the interview on a high note, and also you get an answer to a very important question

Can I claim for a full day's fees rather than half a day's fees if I work 4 hours and 00001 second?

I normally ask if they have liability insurance for people on site as a lot of companies don't these days.

Can I slap the permies when they demonstrate their stupidity? Is Debbie from sales fair game or is she strictly limited to senior management at the xmas party?

Having asked that question many times over the years, the one that sticks in my mind was "Having heard all I have to say, can you see any reason why you would not give me the job?"

                Get out of that one...

Do you mind if I wear my suit on-site every day ?

Can I work additional hours for free if the project demands it ?

Would there be any objection if I treated you and the other members of the team to a restaurant lunch every now and then ?
